Default Traction control help

I have a 2010 xlt 4x4 with the 5.4, my traction control light is on for no apparent reason and it won't go off. What happened?

there could be something in one of the abs sensors at the wheel or the sensor has failed. they also commonly go bad. is your abs light on also?

No it's just the traction control light and I tried holding it down for advance trac off but nothing happened. Just the light

It's fords name for traction control. When you tap the tc button on the console it partially disables advance trac. And when you hold it until the tc icon on your gauge panel blinks then it is completely off.
