Instructions on the first line... "Button pressed and held for more than 5 seconds at speeds under 35 mph" This disables TC. The statement means you cant be going over 35mph and disable the TC The TC does not automatically enable at speeds over 35 mph unless you press the button (line 2) something tells me this will still be too complicated to comprehend for the simpletons |
TCS is disabled, but ESC and RSC aren't.

ABS and TCS are easy, pull the fuse but ESC and RSC is where we need to focus attention regarding forscan module and address changes. jdunk we need ya man  |

yes, as I alluded to in post #4 referencing the lack of four wheel drift. The seat of the pants feeling is ESC and RSC are never disabled even though the chart states they should be.

I was searching thru the service manual for stability\roll control stuff and found stability control sensors are in the RCM.
so if we can mount the RCM in a gimbal we should be good to go without needing forscan  |

yes they are, here let me break it down for the remedial types.

Too much bickering, I don't care what the chart says. In my experience with my 2014 after disabling traction control and advance trac, it re-engages around 30 mph. That means if I mash it in loose stuff and the rear wheel speed increase, the nanny's kick in, every time. I hate it.
UNLESS....... I put it in manual shift mode, then disable tc/adance trac. At that point I'm free to have all the sideways fun and wheel spin I want. Readings directions are over rated, start pushing buttons and switches to find out how it works. |

Holding the button down until advance trac is disabled is supposed to shutoff everything but that doesn't seem to be the case as when my truck starts into a four wheel drift I can feel the PCM pulling power from the motor. I guess stability control is still somewhat active.
Performed a quick search thru jdunk's spreadsheet but couldn't find anything relating to disabling thru forscan (yet) |
