Default Advance-Trac/Stability Control

Anyone ever had the need to shut this off? I am wondering if and how it affects gas mileage, etc... my truck is 2wd.
Thanks

My norm is to routinely disable it all - AdvanceTrac - RSC, ESC, and TCS. *Button pressed and held until AdvanceTrac OFF display goes-away (~10seconds).

This is primarily to disable TCS since once the vehicle exceeds 35MPH, RSC and ESC are (re)enabled.

None of this has affected MPG.

Where did you find the info that it turns back on? I read the owner and shop manual's and no where does it say that.

I thought it said it in the Manuel. But I know that in mine once it starts spinning above 35 the traction control turns itself back on.

Saw that as well but it does not say it comes back on, that just describes button functions.

How then do you interpret the following (referencing the 2014 edition) .....
(when the) Vehicle speed exceeds 35 mph (56 km/h) after (the) button (is) pressed and held for more than 5 seconds ...
Roll stability control (is) (re)Enabled (and) Electronic stability control (is) (re)Enabled
?

can you pull the fuse for RSC ESC and leave traction control. or are they all on 1 fuse.

i dont want to turn the system off completely because on super icy roads i'm sometimes surprised by how easy my truck will break loose.

i still like traction control as it does help but rsc esc have never helped me only hindered.

its hard to go through mud or snow when the truck is constantly trying to keep you straight by cutting power.

Ok so if I interpret that way then rsc comes back on but traction control does not. Thus if your driving in a straight line and hit ice or mud the wheels should break loose but in a cornering maneuver the wheels should be better controlled due to the stability control sensors located inside the Restraints Control Module (RCM) and consist of the following sensors: yaw rate, roll rate, lateral and longitudinal accelerometers.

Got it.
