As for longevity, good oil is more important and frequent enough oil changes. When you change your oil reset your OLM to 90% and change it as soon as it hits 10% and tells you to change it soon. I usually change mine just before it warns me. The buildup in the intake and intake valves is oil buildup.
Fuel quality will have more of an effect on fuel economy. I have seen as much as a 3mpg difference between different brands. I'm not sure if it was actual quality, the amount of ethanol, the additives or any combination in between. I won't buy gas at my local Arco or costco because I saw a 3 mpg drops with Arco and 2 mpg with costco. I personally see the best fuel economy with Shell and Chevron gas with Shell being the best for MPG.
Keep in mind that I'm in CA and we have the worst gas in the nation. I was getting 19-20mpg at 85 on texas and arizona gas, came to california and I usually have to slow down to 75 to get the same.

I saw the advisement in my owner's manual to use Top Tier gasolines. A little research showed that most direct injection engine manufacturers recommend Top Tier gasolines. If there wasn't something to it (read the BMW post), I don't think they would waste the ink to suggest you use it. I don't use Top Tier exclusively, but I try to fill up with it 1/3 to 1/2 the time.

In most cases no, but it depends on how far out of your way and how much if any increase in mpg or lower the price. If you're driving out of your way to go across town because gas is 5 cents cheaper then you are actually burning more gas to go there and back and $$$ wise you are actually spending more. 9/10 times filing at whatever station is on your route is the most economical if that is your goal.

Techron is probably also completely unnecessary. I've never used it so I'm not sure what all it claims or if it works but e10 fuel will be sufficient to keep the fuel system clean if that is your goal. The extra fuel mpg in a bottle claims are always BS in my experience.

E10 is actually worse for engines. Even in the manual it states to run non ethanol fuel every few tanks of E15. What makes you think e10 is any better?
F**K ETHANOL.
3 bottles of Tectron is excessive. 1 or 2 at most will be more than enough, especially how often you plan on doing it.
