Default Tires Size Upgrade

I guys. Ive leveled my truck and upgrading from the stock 275/65/18's. Is anyone here running 285/70/18 or 285/75/18's? I would like some opinions and pictures of your trucks. Talking to my tire guy, we had originally thought of going to 275/70/18's but I'm thinking of maybe a shade wider to a 285. Any thoughts and pics would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm running 285/75r18 on 9 inch wide rims. They rubbed slightly. I only had to hack an inch off the front valance and trim a bunch off my front WeatherTech mud flaps

Love the beefy look just don't know if I want to go that big or do any trimming.

The trimming isn't a big deal. 30 seconds with a sawsall if you take your time. Plus only you will know it's trimmed. It's not in a noticable spot. It looks more streamlined when you taper it anyway so it's an improvement on looks if anything . The mud flaps took about 15 min per side with having to trim, test fit and heat up and bend them a bit. I didn't think it was a big deal.
If you're going to run on the stock wheels, you probably won't have to trim anything. I don't recall cutting anything when I ran the 285s on the stockers for a summer.

If running factory wheels, 275/70-18's fit without any trimming or any other changes. I ran that size on my 07 Lariat and 11 FX4 and was very happy with them, except when I ran Cooper AT3's. I was one of the unfortunate folks who had out of control wear issues with the AT3's, most don't have this issue and Cooper DID NOT stand behind their product. That aside, the 275 typically is easier tire on the wallet. We can thank Ford for that, as they are the stock size on many super duty trucks.

Post pics when you make your decision!

I will certainly post pics! Hoping to make decision on 275 or 285's and get them on in next few weeks.
