Default tire pressure sensor question?

what happens if you dont have tps in wheels on a 2010?
Im considering swapping out the tires and wheels on the new truck with the one im trading in, and running my old tires and wheels for a couple weeks til I get a 2" kit installed and new tires and wheels.
I would have dealer remove the tps from new wheels and give them to me. to put in my new wheels.

SHOTGUN, does an alarm or buzzer go off also?
would I be able to put up with it for a week or 2?

Nope, just the light comes on, you could certainly deal with it for a few weeks.

No buzzer. I think it's just a yellow light and it may show up on the message center too. I didn't check the owner's manual, but I'm sure it's in there.

I put studded snows with OEM steel wheels from a yard on my '09 and ran 'em all winter without the TPMS. I left those in my factory rims/tires. Every time you start your truck, the TPMS light will blink and an error message illuminates on your dash display. Push the reset stalk to blank the error message and ignore the light. On my truck, if you drive for 20-30 minutes, the error message will re-illuminate and a chime sounds. Just reset to blank the display. Yesterday, I put the stock wheels back on (Gawd, I hope the snow is done!) and the truck immediately recognised the sensors and didn't give me the error message. You should be good to go...

Is the TRMS sensor a bolt mount, clip mount, tape mounted, or what? I'm looking at buying some aftermarket rims, and just wanted to know how much of an issue it is to swap?
Thanks

Does anyone know how much/where to buy new ones? Also, if I keep the stock ones in my stock wheels and tires and get a new set in a new set of wheels and tires, will there be any issues going back and fourth?
