Yes because plain and simple the tpms isn't always accurate and has many faults.

Yup, seeing as how my mom's chevy's tpms goes off when her tires are cold and within good pressure range...

TPMS has been mandatory since 2008...

Thanks. In Honda the TPMS comes on right away if a tire goes low. Driven 20 miles without a TPMS in the tire and the light still hasn't come on. Nice to see Ford is looking out for my safety. Lol

I check my tire pressure ever month but the system is designed to inform the drive as your are travelling a tire is going flat so you can stop and check. This system came into existence shortly after the Ford Exploder where rolling over because of tire blowouts.

I check my tire pressure regularly. The TPMS in my 2010 is crap. My wifes Samsung Galaxy sets off the TPMS while it in the truck charging... no *****!!. So I hope the 2011+ have better TPMS systems. I wish I could turn mine off as well .Maybe next truck will be better...

I have 2012 Screw and have put on snow tires without the TPMS in them. It takes the light almost 100 km before the light comes on. I store the original tires in my garage and park the truck outside. The light goes out ever time I park the truck in my driveway. This system is crap. I always check my tires on a monthly bases.

Hope no one is relying on this system.

That's how I cheat the system on my Fusion. If I park next to the summer tires I don't get the idiot light for ~30miles which is enough for me to get to work and back with the chime kicking In and having to clear a message every 10 minutes.
