Default tire choice

hello, im about to start buying tires (one at a time) this monday. what do you guys suggest think will be better? bf goodrich at 285-65-18 or nitto trail grappler 285-65-18 or 295-70-18? i will be using stock wheels for about 3 months. i have a 2013 supercab stx 2wd. i ordered bilstein leveling shocks and a hypertech tuner to reprogram the speedo and add some power. thanks for any input

Out of those choices, I'd go with the BFG. i know times are tight but I would at least buy two tires at a time especially when changing sizes.

Question a little off topic but, if I get a 2" lift and change from stock 18" to 20" would that technically be a 4" lift? Or is there something I'm missing?

295/70/18 might be pushing it. You might run into rubbing issues. I would stick with 285/65/18. As far as the tire goes, they are both great tires! Get which one you think looks best!

So going to a bigger rim won't actually put ur truck a little higher? Interesting...

Nope, you will have more rim and less sidewall. Say you put an 18" rim with 35" tires next to a 20" with 35" tires, they will be roughly the same diameter but the 20" will just have a shorter sidewall and the 18" will have a taller sidewall.

Ahhhhhh... thanks for explaining that... Makes more sense so larger tire is what I should look for then. I really like the 305/60/18 nitto grapp tires and have a 2" level but don't wanna cut/trim anything and no rubbing. I think I read people said it should work just fine.

Go with a 275/70r18, same width as stock, 1" taller.

Looks good! I'm about to get that size and put my bilsteins on. Could you put some more pictures of how it looks with that size tires please? Thanks
