Default Tinting headlights

Whats the best way to do this? Just apply tint film or is there a spray on version I'm not seeing? Also, how much does this affect night visibility?

I tried searching to find the answer, so I apologize if this has been covered.

U can tint them either way. VHT Nightshade is the brand of the spray tint. Visibility will be affected. These headlights (non-HID) don't put out a lot of light to begin with, so I wouldn't suggest tinting them.

VHT Night Shades or just clear coat tinted with some black paint will do just the same. Id recommend tint film. it's much faster to apply, its simple to do, and u can always pull it right off if u decide the tint is too restrictive with the light output

I think the opposite.... VHT comes off easier than film (turtle wax sticker remover took it off of my headlights in 20sec with no sticky residue). With vht you can tape off a corner if all you want to do is a corner without scaring the lens with a blade. I tried a black magic film first and couldn't get it to conform (even with heat). Just make sure you use light coats with VHT so it doesn't run... and take the lights off the truck (3 bolts a piece) first, it'll make life easier.

Thanks for the info. I had seen that nightshade stuff mentioned before, just forgot about it. I think I'll just deal with the stock look, maybe get the nightshade and do one or two coats just to knock some of the shine off. Not sure it would matter much though.

You might want to look into Raptor/FX/HD headlights with black trim to get the look you want rather than lower the light output of your headlights.
