Sorry if it was misread but it seemed most were taking it as if I was asking for justifications.

Anyone else considering the same move?

If I did buy a new one I would have to have it built. I've become picky over the years. :p

Decisions decisions.
80k? How much do want for your truck?

My 2013 is approaching 160 k and I plan to keep it, but also buy a 2021 or 2022. Im not buying a new truck now though. They are having build quality issues at the plants and thats part of the reason for the delay in launching the new model. I will wait until all the bugs are worked out and drive my reliable 2013 with no stop/start or cylinder deactivation horse5hit.

What build quality issues? This is a serious question.

He's been saying that in a few threads, there are no real reports on it so far as i've seen people posting.

It’s a bit of an urban myth at this point with several car enthusiast websites and YouTubers proclaiming that cars built during COVID-19 are inferior due to parts supply issues and inconsistency around plant closures and worker availability.

While there’s no qualitative evidence to support any claims at this point - If someone gave me a binary question (better or worse) if the quality of build got better or worse during a pandemic, I’d answer worse.

Totally. They've been inferior for years.

If you currently own a truck and want a new one, now is the best time to trade it in. You’ll get good money for it. Once the vaccine rolls out and the economy picks up, used prices are going to plummet.
