Default tight wheels

Hi guys, I normally have my summer/winter tires switched around at the dealership but did them myself today.

While working on the front wheels I noticed they were quite hard to spin even with the 4x4 disengaged.

On other vehicles I've had the non-drive wheels will spin easily while off the ground.

Have I got a problem or is this normal with a '13 Lariat ?

Thanks for any opinions you may have

Did it feel like there was driveline resistance or brake resistance? Could have a stuck caliper

It was on both front wheels so I don't think it's a caliper, they both just seem to take more effort to turn them than I'd think was needed.

Even turning them as hard as I can they don't spin freely.

Have you had these wheels on the truck before? I only ask because when I bought my wheels, Raceline Raptors, the back side of the wheel was rubbing on my brake caliper body. I didn't notice it until I got out of the parking lot and got up to speed and could hear it grinding. I went back but the only solution was to go back to stock wheels or get spacers. I ended up driving it home, pulling the front wheels off, and grinding some meat off of the corner of the caliper where it was rubbing. Haven't had a problem since. Might want to check it.

Was the truck running when you noticed this? the default is to 4wd, it uses engine vaccum to put it in 2wd

Yes, the wheels & tires are 20" and are original with the truck and the truck was turned off and up on a jack.

I was taking off the winter wheels and putting the original wheels & tires back on.

If it defaults to 4x4 I didn't know that and will jack it up again tomorrow and try turning the wheels with the engine running.
