I wasn't looking for more power, though that would be cool. I just hated the throttle response, way too much lag for my taste. It is the only thing I didn't like about the truck, well, that and the stinkin' TPMS that seems to be endless trouble.

This. It's nothing to do with power, it just gives the response you expect if you can modulate your foot smoothly - the laggy stock unit is for leadfooted 'surge' drivers who can't keep a set pace without cruise control so it helps with the MPG.
