Default Thinking about trading for a 2010

I have a 04 Lariat ccab 4x4 with 121000. the new one has a sticker price of $44035. With all rebates they will trade for $21337 they are showing me $17698 can I get a better deal live in Mo. Also anything I need to know about the 2010 Thanks

I'm assuming the 21,337 is after trade right? I think the rebates are running around 5 grand right now so if you nixed the trade from the equation ( as I assume part of that 17698 is trade allowance), they're selling the truck to you for sticker less rebates unless my math is off.

With the information provided to date, the answer is a resounding maybe. Have you researched out what the average value for a truck like yours is? That would give you some idea of how much they are actually discounting the new truck. Not knowing either the condition or options on your truck I have no way to tell what that figure would be; nor am I going to do your homework for you. I would personally start by looking up what average trade values for a truck like yours are either through Edmunds or some similar site and use that as a baseline to subtract from the trade in they're showing you.

Thanks 50Ford500, I was not looking for someone to do my home work. Just wanting to know how much they would come off sticker price in today's market. I know it will vary on cost of the new truck that why it put it in my post. This would tell me what they were giving for my trade. I should have made my post more clear.

The way I look at it, you may be getting $5000 off, but that's a rebate directly from Ford, not the dealer. In other words, the dealer is selling it to you at full price, then Ford is giving you $5k back. I bought nearly the same truck ('10 Screw, 4x4, etc) and got about $8300 off of the sticker, including the Ford rebate of $4500.

Truth is they gotta start getting rid of 2010's so I had them take almost $9g off sticker for me to take it home that night.

I recently got $9,500 off sticker, so they're giving more like $14,000 for your truck which is still amazingly strong for an 04'. My buddy just traded his 04' Lariat loaded with 100K miles on it an got $13,000.... The dealer sold it a day later for $15,000 after putting on new brakes, lube and oil and a good cleaning. I'd say all in all you have a very good deal negotiated.
