Yes, the remote start module that goes behind the glovebox. You also must turn in the feature in the ipc and bcm.

Actually no you don't, that module is just an aerial for the system, activate it like you said and it'll work as is with the proper key, just won't have any range and if your aerial is still behind the glovebox, move it to the headliner with a longer cable for even better range.

I posted a thread all about it with part#'s. It's an actual Ford TSB.

RFI can interfere with key fob range as well, dash cam, cell phone charger etc plugged in can cause extremely low range. Even someone else's car parked next to yours with items of the like plugged in can affect it, high tension power lines, cell phone towers, really anything that emits radio waves.

Ever notice the disclaimer on all electronic products, [This product must accept any and all radio interference to be compliant with FCC regulations] ?

That's got to be the most extreme exaggeration I've ever seen anyone post about a Ford door lock fob. A mile?

Hardly a mile, probably closer to 150' or so, the OEM fob is limited to 300' max. and don't waste your money on that ebay garbage unless you know for a fact it's a genuine Ford product.

Otherwise you're in for headaches and frustration beyond belief.
