Question Flip-Key upgrade 2013-14 F150

I can't be the only person who thinks about dong this or tried same... I have a 2013 F150 & have previously activated my factory Remote-Start feature in the BCM & IPC using Forscan. I also purchased a Key-Fob on Amazon, which has the remote-start button on it & successfully programmed it to the truck. All works great, but...

I am now wanting a Flip-Key. Problem is, the only 4-Button flip-key I can find with my same FCCID# is an upgrade for the S197 Mustang, so that of course means it has a Trunk Button instead of a Remote-Start Button.

Considering the trunk button is a "double press" as is my remote-start button & the other 3 buttons (lock, unlock, panic) are the same, do you thing this Mustang key-fob would work in my truck? Big question, would the trunk button operate as remote-start in my truck?

This is the 4-Button Key I am currently using;

This is the 4-Button Flip-Key upgrade for the S197 Mustang, I am considering;

You'll notice looking at the above Flip-Key that the FCCID# is different. However, the listing says it interchanges with my FCCID# & both operate on a 315 MHz frequency. I can't really find Info on the "bit" ratings though?

Has anyone successfully programmed a Flip-Key to their 2013-14 F150

I've also been around the key-programming block recently.
I started with the remote start upgrade (same as you).
Used those keys for a month or two.
Then wanted a flip key.
Ordered one; programmed fine; but no remote start.
I haven't found one yet...

2nd time this has been investigated only to wind up in failure. The no r/s option killed the idea for me years ago when it was first visited.

Maybe if one is using one of the two way remote starts where you don't use the stock keyfob?

Back when I 1st tried this all I had was the key r/s. I do now have the cell phone option but still use the key sometimes. Since that time and now I've lost interest in the flip key.

Now if there were a way to use that trunk button for something like retractable machine guns or ejection seat it might be of interest lol.
