Default Is there a way to auto fold folding mirrors?

Is there a way to have the electric folding mirrors to fold when the truck is turned off? I think the super duties will fold when the truck is shut down but, I haven't seen anything for the 150's.

Nope, but I suppose it could be hacked.

You will need some type of wiring into the cylinder, rather than the shift indicator so that it only activates at key on or key off.

With the release of the SDK last year, I would have thought that somebody would have done some hacking.

Looks like a simple tap on VT would do the trick. The question is where to get your hot wire. What if you used the door open circuit? It would flip the mirrors every time the door was opened. Sure, it could get out of sync, but there's always the button.

Looked at the diagram some more. I believe you'd need to briefly ground VT coming out of the folding module in order to activate the folding circuitry in the mirror.

Now the question is what circuit should be used to activate a relay to ground VT. Also, how could it be made intermittent?

Where did you find these diagrams? Found a great site for one of the other brands forums. Would be great too find one (free?) for our Fords.

My mirrors fold in when the power is off and key removed. I forget to fold them in sometimes and hit the **** as I'm about to close the door. They fold in with no issues.

I think he didn't explain it correctly as i'm able to power fold them with or without the truck on.

I think he means when you turn the truck off, they fold in automatically. when you turn the truck on, they fold back to their normal position automatically without hitting any button.
