Can you turn on the radio from the steering wheel controls?

If you have the MFT system, you can. Regular SYNC system, nope.

Mine is regular Sync. XLT truck, someone said hit the media button. Ill try that.

How do people that do the iPod mods turn on the radio then when the panel is gone?

Mine was never turned off once in the 6 months I had my iPad in the truck. I just turned down the volume.

Hit the media button on the steering wheel and you should be able to scroll through whatever media type you want. Thats how i do it in mine.
