Default Is there a difference in spark plugs?

I'm looking to purchase new spark plugs for my truck, and Advanced Auto has two different Motorcraft plugs that they say are the exact fit for my 2010 F-150. However, they have different gaps (I assume I can adjust the gap if necessary). One if a double platinum (.041 gap) for $9/each, and the other is an "alternative" nickel (.054 gap) for $2/each. That's a huge price difference when getting 8 of em ... How can they both say the exact fit for my F-150 though? Which will do? If the $2 ones will work as intended then I'll go with those, considering they're still Motorcraft. Is there a real need to go with the more expensive platinum ones?

Just noticed you said 2010...disregard everything but the coupon code part

I went with SP-548 and gapped to .045. $6.79 a pop and Advance has a 20% discount on the top of the banner. Put them in your cart and let them simmer for a while. If you are logged in they will generally send a better discount code via email. I ended up with 25% off. $43 total. Paid online and picked up in store. Truck runs like a top.

Platinum will be more consistent and last longer. Very worth it on any car. Try searching online if you don't like local prices. Wild guess that Rock Auto has them for half that price.

I would pay the extra for the Motorcraft. The Coyote plugs are platinum/iridium and after 91k I could have just gapped my stock plugs. They looked damn good.

I use the SP-526 plugs in my 6.2 and put them in my cart last night had the 20% off within 15 minutes and had a 25% this morning when I got up so I got the 16 plugs and wires for almost $32 off. My Plugs were $4.89 and $68 for the wires before the discount
I only saw 2 Motorcraft plugs listed for a 2010 F150 5.4, the OEM plugs for $9.19 and another for $16, But truthfully if you plan on keeping it for a while I would get the Platinum.

Went with the double platinum (SP-509), and found them on eBay for $29 for all 8 from a power supplier with high ratings.
