I have this same sort of shudder described. And I have an 08 with a 4.6l. Just started doing it about a month ago. I had the trans fluid flushed and the trans looked over they found nothing. I will be changing the rear diff fluid and adding friction modifier. My ranger had a problem with the limited slip and it did the same thing no matter if you were turning or not. I since got rid if it so who knows what turned out there.

Another source of the shudder is the slip yoke at the front of the driveshaft that goes into the trans or 4x4 transfercase. I had that problem on my Raptor and the new shaft and reflash helped for a while, but it's never going to be as good as a Slip yoke eliminator style would be for spirited take-offs and high angles, which the latter isn't a problem on most trucks. Typically those can be lubed and should be often as the very nature of them slipping in and out can allow moisture and debris up there. Worth a check for those not wanting to go the route of the dealer run around.

X2. My older F150 would feel like something was "stuck" back there on takeoff and felt like it was trying to "shake" it off. Dealer greased the slipyoke and worked perfect for 2-3 months then started again. Dealer replaced the slipyoke and never had a problem with it afterwards. Very annoying on takeoff. Would almost feel like the tires were sticking or something was stuck and not letting go.

I have not had a problem since they put new clutch pack in my rear end. I do have issues with the computer not keeping up with my foot ie: tranny not down or up shifting fast enough but I understand this is an issue with drive by wire.

It sounds like they didn't mark the drive shaft before they removed
