Seriously though when did you buy your truck? It might not have the latest major version (2?) of SYNC.
I purchased at the end of May this year!

It's telling me the same thing. It says I currently have version 3.01, I just installed the 3.1 update and we'll see if anything has changed tomorrow on the way to work.

On syncmyride.com, you can download a program to a USB, plug it into the truck, run a "install", which will run the program, write some data onto the USB drive, then back to the laptop, uplaod to syncmyride, and it will tell you.

Sync Status Checker
Version 1.0
We need to confirm your current version of Sync. Please download and run the Sync Status Checker. The Sync Status Checker will verify what version of Sync is currently installed in your vehicle.

Bummer for sure!! I was reading on another Ford forum that the dealer was charging for this. Sometimes as much as 1 hour labour. I wonder why!? I upped mine to 2.1 (from 1.0 I guess) the other day, not a dealer in site!!

Good luck with the dealer.

Does this update help with the issue of losing the Bluetooth connection every few days?

"This new software release, based on customer feedback, will improve Ford's 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report features. Now you can disable the '911 Assist is set to Off' speech reminder. If you choose to turn it off, a line of text reminding you that 911 Assist is disabled will continue to be shown on the radio display. In addition to the 911 Assist enhancement, the Auto Vehicle Health Report feature will now have a default setting of 'OFF'. Simply switch to 'ON' if you wish this report to be automatically generated.

Also contained in this release are improvements to USB and Bluetooth features and phone and media device support."
