Default Sync Update-

The last time Sync was updated on my 2011 was sometime in early 2012 when I took it in for an oil change. Surely the system has been updated by now.

How can I update this to the most current version without going to the dealership ? Phone app? Thanks

What sync model do you have? I know the sync site is not quite correct as there is a TSB out for some sync issues

As said above, register at syncmyride.com and enter your information. It will walk you through the steps to see what version you have and if there is an update available.

I just updated mine the other day. I got a 13 FX4. I went to fordowner.com and registered all my info and downloaded it on my USB.

From reading on the various forums about this there is an issue with the sync my ride site not registering current firmware a for the (as far as I know) the sync non my touch with the 4.5" screen, I've seen a US TSB 13-6-17 and my dealer confirmed a TSB 13-9-22 for Canada now this is for my 13 FX4 so check with your dealer

I'll have to check that out, is that just for US vehicles?

The Sync system in my 11 had one and only one update back in late 11 or early 12 and that's it. Don't expect any more updates as it appears to be an obsoleted and abandoned release.

If you have specific issues, find one of the Sync threads where Antonio has responded. Send him a PM with VIN and a description of your problems. He will kindly offer up a suggestion or two of things to try. I figure it this way, even if those ideas don't resolve things, he's at least trying to help. And that's good enough in my book. As my truck does what I need it to do regardless of a functioning Sync system.
