I have a 2010, and just got a galaxy s4 phone. Text messages no longer work through the truck. Does anyone have this phone working with text, and if so, can you please tell me what you did?

Not that phone but I have an S3 and I believe when you pair the phone it asks if you wan't to download messages. I really don't like that functionality because it doesn't sync deletes. Try to delete your phone and pair it again and see if you missed the prompt.

Since the new update my pandora doesn't resume play any more. If I had it playing and got out of the truck it would stop but as soon as I got back into the truck and it reconnected the music would automatically start playing. This assumed I didn't close pandora. It was cool and now it is not so cool.

 

I had a Motorola Droid 4 and switched to a Galaxy S4 and lost my text capabilities. From what I understand, the S4 doesn't support it. Really disappointing for how nice the phone is and how well my phone and SYNC worked together before.

 

I just can't believe that the S4 wouldn't support texting with sync. I guess if that's the way it is, then there's nothign I can do about it, but it'll be a real bummer.

 

I just got an s4 coming from an iPhone. Can u only play music through bluetooth audio? I plugged my phone in with the cord and tried but it keeps saying "no bluetooth device".

 

I get the text notifications with my GS4... I can hear it when I select the message and hit "Listen". Haven't tried any text reply's yet (if there is such a thing?).

 

I appreciate all the feedback, but I'm really looking for an answer to my specific issue. Remember Sync changed on 2011 and up. My question is specific to the 2010 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 texting only.

 

I wasn't aware that SYNC changed in 2011. What changed? I have a 2009 so I'm in the same boat anyways.

 

I am in the same boat with my 2009 and my S4. I know I am due a dealership update but not enough time to get it done before I leave out of town for work. interested to see what comes of this.

 

I for one am glad that Sync and the S4 dont share texts. I hate when it cuts my radio out and puts up a message button. I love the hands free awnsering and what not, but thats all i want my phone and sync to do automatically.

I couldnt get my Motorola Electrify to not send its texts to Sync. It was so annoying.
