Default Sync question, not working

My Sync all of a sudden is not working with my phone. All of my phone features work with exception to making calls. It will place the call and receive calls but the audio does not work. I did not change anything, no phone updates nothing and all of a sudden it quit working. This happened to me before last year for a while and it started working for me again out of nowhere. I have a 2010 Platinum w/ touchscreen/navigation and I have an Iphone 5s. I have tried deleting the connection and re-establishing and nothing works. Apple blames Ford/Microsoft and Ford/Microsoft blame Apple.

Try a hard restart on the sync system.

Try a hard reset on your iPhone since you tried resetting Sync.

Update your Phone Firmware, I have had problems with Apple and their updates since my 3gs or what ever it was, as soon as a newer version came out, I had a couple months where it would work, then all of a sudden bam, a mute phone. Called apple about it once, lady said that they drop support on older firmwares and that is how they force the upgrade. I have no clue if it is true, but it has held true so far on all my apples, after they get past 2 or more IOS Updates behind. My wife is currently suffering on her 4s, she didn't like IOS 7 and I assume 8 is the same, so she is stuck on mute IOS 6 build before the batteries were being drained at a rate of 50% a hour.

Along with the reset, as suggested by the community, try a clean pair after. It's detailed on step #3 here: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...ync-navigation
