Default Sync Phonebook Problems

I love my sync and don't have any problems with it other than my phonebook. It will not list all my numbers. I can delete the phone, re-install it, and it will load differently all the time without still giving me all my numbers?

I was having problems with mine as well. I have over 1400 numbers. I ended up doing a system reset on the sync as well as pulling the fuse for it. Then went back and did it all over again with the truck running and everything worked fine

You could also try disabling the phonebook auto-download feature. That fixed my sync problems. I just ran a manual update whenever I add new numbers, which isn't often.

what kind of phone? Iphones are notorious for not working well with sync. I have a blackberry and a droid and both work flawlessly. I dont have anywhere close to 1400 contacts on either of them though, only about 300. CrApple doesnt like to play well with others. Also some 2011 owners seems to be reporting lots of sync problems, my 2010 is trouble free.

Here's what I had to use to get my Android phone book to work ('09 F-150). Worked great - But was a pain to set up the first time.

Now available for free download on www.syncmyride.com, SYNCMyPhone gives users the ability to hop on their home computer or laptop, manually create and manage multiple address books and contact lists – from a cell phone, Outlook distribution list or other device – and upload the information to the SYNC system via their vehicle's USB port.

Thanks all,

My phone is a HTC Thunderstorm. It also did it with a Blackberry that I had.

My phone occasionally has had problems but that is not the fault of Apple. Sometimes SYNC will not play the bluetooth and it won't let iphones txt through it.

SYNC is another crappy microsoft problem and Microsoft doesn't make it's products to work well with others. This is why you can use any programs on a mac but a PC cannot do the same for mac programs. Microsoft trying to control the industry. Rant over.

Well I tried all the methods mentioned and it added more numbers than I had, but still not all of them. I guess I'll have to punch the others in manually.

How do you do that? I've disconnected, reconnected, deleted, readded... I've used the "special pin" function etc to try to get my phonebook to sync properly but I can't get it to work.

I have a 2012 Ford Escape, and a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone. Everything works except the phonebook, which only ever downloads 10 of my 200+ contacts.

I also downloaded Ford's Sync My Phone desktop computer app, and created a phonebook manually but I haven't figured out how I'm supposed to get that into my vehicle.... Any tips would be greatly appreciated
