Sync - Media Audio Issues
Perhaps this has been covered before, but since I don't know what to specifically call it, I couldn't find it.
I have a 2010 Fusion and a 2013 SCab. Both with base Sync, no touching. On my Fusion (Sync Gen1 - V3.1), it USED to work fine that my Android Navigation voice came through the Sync system (and stopped the radio). Then, Android updated to a new version (unsure which dessert it was...) and that stopped working. Had to disable media audio to get it to speak out of the phone, couldn't get it working in the car. As I vaguely recall, I finally got it working but perhaps the phone Bluetooth didn't work or something. In short, it became too much of a bother and I can hear the phone speaking the few times I need navigation.
Now that I have two vehicles with Sync (F-150 has Gen1 - 4.2.1.F), and newer phones (with Android 4.3 on Samsung Galaxy S3), I'm more interested in getting this working. I have no interest in streaming via Bluetooth, I have my music on a USB stick. I want Sync to work for calls and for navigation. Figured since there appears to be some Ford Sync employees on here, I'd give it a try.
If I can get both Bluetooth for the phone and nav working, that's great. If not, I'll leave media audio disabled because I want the phone to work with Sync.
By the way, two observations:
1) The Ford site with Sync on it never loads with Google Chrome, and is balky at best with IE.
2) When I got my Fusion, I got 3 years of Sync. Since back then Android didn't have as advanced navigation, I actually used some of the services, but didn't renew when my 3 free years were up. With the F-150, I get nothing free. How's the adoption rate of people signing up with no free trials? Gotta be awful.

Do you have an account with syncmyride.com yet?, if not, I would start there. They have operational video's for all 4 different sync types. That is where I'm learning how to use everything for myfordtouch.

The short answer to your first question: your phone cannot stream the turn by turn directions from your nav app without Bluetooth audio. This is the case across the smartphone board, but I'm glad to document your feedback.
I use Google Chrome almost exclusively to work and have no problem with any of the Ford websites - even when using Incognito Mode. I recommend clearing your cache/cookies and checking for any available browser updates under Settings. IE can be clunky, which is why I personally prefer Chrome.
I'm not really the guy to comment on product/service adoption or any of that marketing mumbo-jumbo for I am but a humble tech-support nerd.

Antonio:
Thanks for your response. It sounds like you think I'm trying to gave Navigation on my Android phone to work without using Bluetooth Audio. That's not the case, so let me try explaining again.
If I enable Call Audio and Media Audio on my phone, then I can't hear the Navigation voice at all. If I disable Media Audio on my phone (leaving Call Audio enabled), I can hear the Navigation voice on the phone, but not over the car speakers. I want to hear it via the car speakers.
This is documented in many places including:

The Jellybean update seems to have ruined this capability.
