Default Sync issue

About a week ago I started having an issue with my Sync. The problem is when I hit the voice activation button on the steering wheel nothing happens. On the radio it says "voice activation" but no matter what situation I'm in (usb, aux, bluetooth, etc...) she wont talk and it wont listen to what I say.

What should I do? Would unplugging the battery for 15 reset her?

Thanks

Check the system sound settings. Sounds like
voice activation is being activated, but the sound is turned down or the audio control module has failed.
