Default Sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade

Is there a cheaper alternative to 4dtech for upgrading from sync 2 to 3? I saw Texas fording mentioned a few times. Cause 4d Texh wants around $1800 to do it.

I have a 2014 F-150 Lariat EcoBoost.

thanks!

If you can do it yourself you can do it for under $500 for non-nav and maybe $700-800 with nav. Get an HU on ebay.

I learned a long time ago, very expensive return cost and hassle, about buying anything outside of USA and needing to return it. FYI

Those are knockoffs, or at best, old remanufactured units that have Sync 3.4 loaded via the repartitioning method.

If you aren’t aware of what AsBuilt is, or not comfortable editing it and using Forscan, you should use a vendor that can sell you a preprogrammed unit. If you buy an a screen and APIM off of eBay from a scrapyard or auto recycler, it will not be plug and play.

I would recommend this guy as you can buy an APIM that comes prepgrammed - https://www.flvpmods.com

I used Nick as he is somewhat local to me. But was totally worth it. Super friendly and will tell you anything you need!
