Default SYNC 1 to SYNC 2?

Is there an upgrade from SYNC-1 to SYNC 2 for the '12 F-150??

No aftermarket system with a decent screen to retain the SYNC features either??

If I had an entire COMPLETE parts truck with sync 2 would that entail changing the interior wiring harness + all interior electronics?

Pretty much. So, aftermarket is better, anyway. And certain ones should retain HVAC controls, at least in a 2011+. Not so sure about 2010 and back.

Sync2 was only 3 years because it sucked. If anyone really wants one, I have the screen and APIM. I'd just about give it away.

Is anyone happy with their Sync systems? Mine is a dinosaur and is no longer supported. Makes me leary having to ever buy another vehicle just so manufacturers can tell you to buy new.

How much would you want for it?

If I remember correctly the Sync 1 module has a similar plug to the Sync 2/3 and is under the dash tray of 2012. I haven't looked at the pinout to see if it was possible to attempt a retrofit but I haven't heard of anyone doing it on these years of F150. Only 2013+ have been done to my knowledge.
