Default Swapping Mirrors Questions

So, I have a 2012 XTL with regular power mirrors nothing more. I been wanting to add the LED turn signal mirrors. I been reading that the all the connections are already inside the harness connected to my current mirrors so if I pull the plug on these mirrors the LEDs should work on them just fine, without having to run any cables?

can't tell you for certain but i can relay my experience.

i have an xlt that came with the turn signals, power mirror movement only. bought aftermarket tow mirrors with those features and the puddle light and no modifications were necessary to get the puddle lights to work.

I put a set of Ebay mirrors on my buddies 2010.
.he only had plain xlt...his 8 pin plug was set for signals..no heat cause he didn't have rear defrost window...so no module installed....easy to check the plug ..pull the trim covering the mirror mounting bolts / plug....8 or 22 pin plug

I have a 2009 STX. I just bought the heater controls with the mirror defrost button. If I add the heated mirrors, are they plug and play? I plugged an absent air sensor in and now I have the temp on my dash. The heated mirrors would be nice here in the frozen wasteland of Minnesota, where the low is -6 Fahrenheit today.

Yes if you add the heated mirrors they will work. I did the same on my 12 Stx and they work great.
