Suspension Question
Just bought an 2011 Supercrew short bed ecoboost with Max tow package. My gut is telling me the truck has some type of lift but I am just not familiar enough to know 100%.
Would like to know what everyone thinks... does it have a lift?
If so is the black block on the bottom possibly the stock block? Would like to know if I decide to switch back to stock. The silver block measures exactly 2".
Possibly anything in the front???
If I keep the truck "as is" would it in any way affect the towing ability of the truck?

that is what I thought.
I know people put these on trucks/jeeps/ etc. all the time.
My goal with this truck is to make it last as long as possible. So with that being said should the lift come off?

Zimmer0 .... Anything specific I should keep an eye out for?
Jkenprice1... yeah I think I do. Haven't completely made up my mind either way.
I will post of picture of the truck from the side. I don't think it looks bad but definitely has some wheelwell to fill in.
The only thing I have made my mind up on is the AFE exhaust that will be removed tomorrow morning. Going back to stock and couldn't be soon enough.

Looks like a lift/level kit. Likely 2" lift block in the back with a 2.5" level in the front. The lift block could create some added leaf spring rotation causing a shudder on take off especially if it's a long wheelbase truck and you're towing.

If you towed a lot, I want to think you'd be better off stock, but that's just opinion. Is this your primary driver or a weekend warrior. The more you drive, the more the mods become a factor. I've had several f150's and gotten between 250,000 and 300,000 miles towing a 14 ft enclosed trailer for 75% of those miles, in ciity traffic. I've never had a lift, so I can't comment on how that will affect the life of anything. What I do know is the way I use my trucks, the most common problem I've had has been lower ball joints. They are pretty cheap and easy to change yourself. Nothing else seem to have worn out prematurely because of towing. These trucks are pretty well made. If you like the look and feel of the lift, keep it. you may have a little more maintainace expense, but I don't see being significant if you don't abuse your truck other wise.
This is great information. This truck is my daily and I use put around 50 miles a day to and from work. I tow two different style boats neither cresting 6000#'s. My wife and I are also talking about getting a toy hauler/camper that when equipment would be around 11000#'s but this wont be for a few years. I do like the look of the truck with the kit on it but would take it back to stock in a heart beat if it meant long term effects on my truck.
