Default Supercharger

Anyone seen the new Procharger system for the 5.4L. It claims to make 60% increase in horsepower. It looks like it will be running around $5500. To bad they don't have an option for the 4.6L 3v

I don't know much about supercharging trucks, but I'm not sure it would work well with the 6R80.

It's listed on thier website. I'd like to go forced induction but it looks like tunning of these trucks is going to be an issue. Really miss my turbocharged mustang.

Yes it would take tuning but any reputable tuner would be able to do it. Might be a bit before everybody is used to working with the newer trucks and the Procharger ( not sure how long it's been on the market ) for the 5.4

VMP, Troyer, BlowbyRacing, Brenspeed, Bamachips, those are all just one's that are off top of my head....

not too sure about procharger, but i didnt have to do any tuning when i put mine on....the truck ran fantastic. after the tuning....it just got better haha. if anyone is in Texas, Mike Murillo is THE MAN for tuning when it comes to fords. Granted he mostly does mustangs, but he did a great job on my truck

oh yea, all you have to do is slap it on and drive the **** out of it...no worries about tuning it. if you were gonna up the boost then i would be concerned, but if you leave the 8 lb pulley on there then you will be fine. thats just like my set up when i first got it. the procharger is better cause its a self contained system. i had to tap into my oil pan for my oil lines

I dont believe you can just throw it on with out tuning thats just crazy. A vehicle is even gonna benefit from tuning just with simple mods like a cold air intake and exhaust. That would be way to dangerous to just slap that on and as you say "drive the **** out of it" and 5k down the road your motor is blow up. There was a supercharger installed on a svt raptor recently and that required to be tuned but hey if you wanna destroy your truck by all means go ahead.

I am pretty sure that the kit comes with some sort of canned tune that you either ship your pcm off or comes with a tunner.
