cool...thx for the answers, but......it still makes no sense to me....thats what 1 and 2 are for....unless it means i can drive with NO overdrive???????

Put the gear selector in "M" and now the +/- buttons on the side of the gear selector control what gear you are in....kind of a manual shift without the clutch. You can go all the way through 1-6th gear with the +/- buttons.

BUT it has limits. You cannot start out in 6th gear for example. It will hold the gears longer before it downshifts and if you floor it, it will not downshift.
It will probably upshift when the engine reaches redline.

M is for manual! As in owners manual, where it is fully explained. Just jerking your chain!
