One more trying to show this gasket type of material coming out. The dealer says it's the paper on the gasket that I am seeing that didn't allow for a good seal. At their lot I have seen several trucks with this streak so I would think more people have this issue.

Like I said earlier, when it is raining I can open and close one of the other doors and water literally pumps out of this handle every time I close the other door.

I called my dealer again today and they now say they can replace the handles and the back plate but they would have to be painted by a third party and no guarantee they would match.

Sorry the pic just doesn't show up how noticeable the streak is.
You might have to keep a bottle of spray detailer in your truck. I sure wouldn't want the dealership ripping my door apart and having other people paint it though!

Edit: the latest picture does it a lot more justice on what you're trying to say. Definitely looks damaged of some sort

I had the same issue with mine. Black streaks from the door handle and they wouldn't come off with washing.

I used some 4u Cleaner that I had for my travel trailer for cleaning it and it's black streaks, it worked great! Just wet it, spray it on and then wash it like normal it they're gone.

Thank you I will look into this product because your right, they don't come off with just a normal wash.

Not that I want people having issues but glad to see a few others with same problem. Seems anytime I take my vehicles into dealer for work I am the first person in recorded history with that problem.

Hi jphelps14,

It's a good idea to get this in front of your dealership so they can diagnose and document it. If you don't want to make a separate appointment, you can always bring this up the next time you're in for a maintenance visit. Feel free to PM me if you need my assistance; be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

Crystal

I don't recall having black streaks, but I did have gaskets/seals come out of both door handles on my '09. Looked the same as the second picture you posted. My dealer did repair them under warranty, but I'm not sure what exactly they did. I'd have to find the paperwork to see if they replaced a gasket or simply removed the crap that was coming out. I've had no problems with the door handles since.

Looks like you're in Indiana? My best guess would be salt residue in the door handle seam that dissolves when it gets wet again and leaves the deposit.

Taste it?

I have a Tuxedo Black truck and I always have to go out a few hours after washing and drying to spot detail where the drips occur. Usually its the door handles, F-150 emblems, mirrors where they meet the door and sometimes door window gaskets at the low spot or ends where they meet the door sheet metal...
