Streaks on the door
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to stop the black streaks running down the door coming from behind the door handles?
It always seems one door is a lot worse then the others and I have one where it looks like the actual seal is coming out from under the handle. Being it is a 13 I took it to the dealer and their answer was it happens to almost all of the trucks and wasn't anything that could be done.
After it rains anytime I shut the door water actually squirts out of the handle.
I tried using the search feature but so many useless threads came up I tried to dig through and found nothing.

Do you have a picture? I haven't had this issue on my 11 or 13.

Sigh, we keep our trucked washed nicely but water is getting behind the door handles and is bringing these black streaks down our door.
Any type of condensation causes these streaks basically on a daily basis and don't plan on washing the truck daily for black streaks just on the doors.

have noticed this as well. i know some of the detailing websites sell an attachment for a dryer/blower that is designed to get in the small creases that may help when you are washing/detailing. I see how this wont solve the problem for when it rains/snows, but the whole truck is dirty by then anyway and will warrant a full cleaning regardless.

I use a leaf blower on my tuxedo black. It has never been dried with anything but. It is amazing how much water the door handles, door trim, and mirrors hold. Plus I have no noticeable swirl marks. I recommend it. I use a gasoline leaf blower too. Probably not the best but it has worked fine. I also go over the truck with Lucas Slickmist after each wash and 2 coats of Collonite a year. Black paint is fun...

Ok will try to show with a pic though not showing up well at all. The truck was washed and dried 2 days ago but with a small rain/snow shower this shows up. If you look right under the door handle you can see what appears to be pieces of a gasket coming out. I called my dealer again today and they now say they can replace the handles and the back plate but they would have to be painted by a third party and no guarantee they would match.
Sorry the pic just doesn't show up how noticeable the streak is.

Reach out to me via PM; I want to bring this to the attention of your regional customer service manager. To get the ball rolling, I'll need your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll get this into their hands.
