I re-aimed mine down a bit after installing the leveling kit.

Wish I had hid lights in my 13 xlt, The headlights that are in it now aren't that bright. The lights in my last truck 2006 were brighter. I noticed that the first night I had the truck.

I didn't mind the OEM halogens in my 2011 FX4. I just put the OEM HIDs in it because I liked the way they looked on black trucks. :D

Sometimes it just takes a very small adjustment to make the lights less obnoxious to oncoming traffic.

I installed factory HIDs on my SVT Focus and just guessed a little high at the adjustment initially and then adjusted them down a little at a time until people stopped flashing me but I still had good visibility.

Even so I still get flashed once in a while which typically earns them the full effect of my combined HIDs on full beam along with the halogen high beams.

This really doesn't convey the light output these things have.

When I got mine 9 months ago it seemed everyone was flashing me. I think in part, because I used to run with the factory fogs on constantly. The contrast between the two had people thinking my highs were on.
So I did two things. Bought, brighter yellow fogs, and just stopped running them on clear nights.
People in front of me still have fits, when I catch their drivers side mirror at stop lights though.
Btw, all factory setup. Not leveled.

I'm all stock and I haven't been flashed that I've noticed. The light beam cuts off just below the trunk of small cars in front of me. I would say you'll want to check the aiming of your lights.

I get flashed. I aimed my new lights down, and when I do get flashed they get rigid lights of death back. Lol

It happens once a very rare while to me, but it usually happens around the time I am coming up a hill or incline and someone is cresting over the top coming the other direction. That seems to be the pattern anyway.

What I find interesting is that almost every car made with foglights, automatically turns them off if your brights are on. Granted, people have found ways to bypass this, but from the factory, they all turn off the fogs when brights go on.

I know most people don't bother to educate themselves on cars in general, but if they knew that, see lights they perceive to be too bright, yet fogs lights are on, they would know they would be looking at the low beams.

Hell when I took drivers ed, one of the points that always stuck with me was never to flash your lights at people. They aren't ready for it and it can cause more trouble than is necessary for the both of you if you blind them or distract them enough to cause an accident. If you see brights, look down at the lane marker line on the right side of your vehicle to make sure you are staying in your lane (or where the edge of the pavement is if there are no lines) and do that until the car passes. Let someone else flash them and take the risk.

^^^^^I second this 10000 times!

Ontario laws state maximum 4 white or amber lights on the front. Thus vehicles equipped with fogs are usually set up so the fogs shut off when the high beams are activated.
