I am with you. I have no idea what the heck they are hearing. They obviously haven't listened to Stage3's direct comparison videos.

Oh sure. And it probably sounds better than other brands' stock trucks. I just would never use words like loud, mean, aggressive or burly to describe it myself.

I didn't realize you knew Billy and stopped over at the shop. When did he say that, cause I know I didn't speak those words.

Ford has always done a good job tuning the mustang exhaust for good sound. Even when the stang wasn't all that fast - it sondes fast.

You can tell the moment you hear it, that it's a mustang. That is the best sounding stock exhaust in my opinion.
Every truck I've had (3 Chevys & 4 Ford's) I've always immediately put duals on.

With the 2005 and my 2010 both 5.4's I tried like crazy to get close to that sound.
So as they wore out naturally,( If I ever install an aftermarket exhaust again, it has to be stainless). I went thru 4 sets of Flowmasters, one borla, then finally a dual in, single out Magnaflow trying to get remotely close to the sound of a stock stang. Failed miserably everytime. Even with performance tunes installed.

Why?
#1 That 5.4 wasn't a tuned 5.0
#2 If I put exhaust on my 2014/5.0, I don't have that wonderful camshaft.
#3 The only way to duplicate a mustang exhaust is to buy a mustang.

Here....just 1 page back. Although I wasn't singling out just 1 person either. Just the comments overall. I just feel it is more tame than others give it credit for. That's all. We can agree to disagree.

Agreed. I recently heard a friend's 700+hp shelby gt. Made my truck sound like a Honda Civic.
