Default Stereo not working?

My OEM radio/stereo is not working. I installed an iPad as the display but it works by connecting to the original stereo through Bluetooth; however the radio just stopped working all together. The analog display just flashes the clock/blinks the time. Ebay has repair services for this exact problem so i figured it was common. Looking for any other possible solutions or seeing if anyone has used these services before?

Welcome to the forum. Did you already do basic checks like fuses? Disconnecting the battery? Did you install a kit of some sort or you just added a mount for the tablet and it just interfaces with the OEM stereo over BT? Any problems prior to this?

Checked the fuses, disconnected/reconnected the radio, it had no issues beforehand. There's no kit to it, the tablet just sits in front of OEM radio and connects through BT

That is pretty common. The main radio part (ACM) is probably in need of replacement. You can find all sorts of interesting repair ideas, but I don't think most of them work. (like baking it) Other than a complete tear down and fix by someone capable, but that probably costs more than replacement for a stereo.

I'm curious. Are you just using an audio app onscreen like Spotify, or have you got some way for the ipad to actually control the Ford equipment?
