Default Stereo Keeps Switching to CD Player

Hi Everyone,
Whenever I listen to the FM radio, USB or Bluetooth and turn the truck left or right or hit a bump, it will switch to cd and try to play a cd then go to FM radio. The dealership hasn't seen this before and want to charge to do a diagnostic on the truck. I have even sent them a video of it doing it. The frequency of this event is increasing and annoying the you know what out of me. I read another thread on here about it but he didn't give a final resolution to the problem and hasn't been on here in over a year.

Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?

Thanks

Probably a bad MEDIA button on the steering wheel. Try swapping that out 1st, it's a $30 part. Otherwise it will need to be diagnosed, as it could be the clock-spring, a little more involved to replace than the switch.

Curious if you found a fix for this. My truck (14 FX4) just started doing this as well. Beyond irritating.

Thanks

I haven't taken the truck in yet, I still have another couple of months on the warranty but it is definitely getting worse. I will probably take it in in March.

Let me know if you found out the problem on yours.

Just got my truck back from the dealership. It was the audio control module that has a short in it. The good news is they are $1,000 to replace and the better news is they are out of stock for them and don't know when they will get more in.

Time to upgrade to sync 3 for less than a $1000 but get all of the benefits....

I went with a pioneer touch screen (dvd, blutooth, mp3, voice, etc) along with a new dash bezel and sync module so I could use all of my OEM controls. It was 750ish installed.
