Default Step Bars Vs. No Step Bars...

I have chrome step bars on my 2010 F150 FX4 Leveled and 3 inch Body lift.
Has anyone tried taking off the step bars?? Is there a big difference in the look of the truck? Does it make the truck look taller?

It will make any truck look taller taking off the running boards, but with your body lift you may prefer to leave them on to cover up the extra 3" of exposed frame.

With no step bars/running boards it is harder to get into the truck even more so if you added a lift. Had a loaner without it when my truck was in for a transmission replacement and my wife and daughter had a hard time getting into the truck.

I want my truck to look the tallest possible without getting a suspension lift(voids warrant )... So im thinkin about taking them off for a couple of days and seeing if it really looks that much taller and is worth the extra energy to jump . But if its hard to get into... you know what they say "Lift it, Fat chicks can't jump"

They may not be able to jump but you may not get in quick enough to get away!

Plus, without the steps, you'll wear down the side of the seat eventually due to sliding over it. Steps made a huge difference for me.

Yup.

When I started telling my wife on how to get out of the truck (not to drag your body out) she looked at my angerly and said she doesn't need instruction on how to get out of a truck. Guess I'll be getting steps soon!
