Steering wheel replacement
I have an 09' ext. cab that I just got, and the steering wheel is worn out on top, down to the metal. I put a cover on it, but my OCD has gotten the best of me. I purchased a new identical wheel, with the sync and cruise controls pre-installed. Obviously want to disconnect the battery first Looks like you use the three holes in the back to depress and pop the airbag off. Disconnect the wires, and pull the center bolt. Is that really it? Or am I missing something? Is there any fiddling with the clockspring to be done, since the wheel is identical? Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Its super easy. Disconnect battery(this is very important) Remove the horn/airbag cover and assembly, treat the airbag like a newborn, and disconnect the connections, 4 small plugs. There will be a large nut, 32mm I think, remove that and pull the steering wheel off. It is indexed with a hex type fitting, including arrow that indexes with the steering wheel. Reverse order to re-install. Takes about 10 mins.
