Default Steering wheel controls

Have just added raptor steering wheel to my truck. Everything fit perfect the harness plugged right in and at night everything lights up, meaning the cruise/ volume buttons. So here's my issue I would like to make the volume / seek buttons functional but I never had it before, is this possible? What would I have to buy , and how would I run it ? Thanks

Did your previous steering wheel have the radio control items on it? Did it just have cruise control?

at the bare minimum I am pretty sure you have to have it reflashed with as-built from a truck with steering wheel controls. and even then not sure if the stereo is compatible.

I would really like to know if the flash ends up making it work. If I could just buy a new steering wheel with the cruise & radio controls (currently only have cruise control on wheel) and it work that would be great.

I too am very intriuged by this but for slightly different reasons than you. I have an STX, which has cruise which is all I really wanted, but I would really like a nicer steering wheel. all I have is the hard plastic ring, I'd love to have a nice leather wheel, but they are only available in the nicer trucks which have the radio controls. I'd hate to go spend all that $$$$ for a leather wheel and then have to be stuck with buttons that dont do anything.
