Default Starnill LEDs

Ordered a set of these LED bulbs, I went with these instead of the Opt7..

Amazon.com: Starnill LED Headlight Conversion Kit - All Bulb Sizes - 72W 6600LM COB LED - Replaces Halogen & HID Bulbs (9007): Automotive Amazon.com: Starnill LED Headlight Conversion Kit - All Bulb Sizes - 72W 6600LM COB LED - Replaces Halogen & HID Bulbs (9007): Automotive

Pics will be in this week. Comment if anyone has the Starnills or Opt7
Can't justify spending 1200 on OEM Hids

OEM HIDs will blow any led drop in out of the water.

I'm still baffled by the "I can't justify xyz for HIDs" when we justified dropping bug coin for these trucks and the HIDs will technically be safer and help you in the long run.

Also, look around and you can find new HIDs for under a grand easy.

I went with another brand. LED's in the heads are great. Way better than stock and wayyy cheaper than hid. Obviously id like hid, but cant justify 1k+ either.

They dont blind other drivers in my experience and provide upgraded light opposed to stock. I am super happy with them, especially for the price being marginally more than getting silver stars and something similar.

Looking forward to your pics to see how they compare with mine!

No doubt in my mind HIDs will outperform, but at this price point it's the same price as buying silverstars. I had truck-lites in my JK before my truck and they were wonderful, hopefully these will do the job.

If I recall, the trucklites were a 7" replacement drop in replacements that replace the whole light? These have reflectors and optics specifically made for Leds whereas the drop in bulb type won't works as nice.

There are tons of studies showing that LED bulbs in reflector housings are worse than halogen. They will appear brighter because there is a change of the Kelvin scale but actual performance will be worse because the bean isn't projected properly.

I guess if it works for you, your truck and money.

I did the HID PnP originally and it was ok, I had to aim them down so as not to blind people but then I lost distance. I eventually pulled the trigger and saved up for a nice retro pair and I've been super happy, they outperform the stock OEM HIDs that come in the 11-14s.

Yeah from what I keep reading is the LEDs look brighter, but they dont "reach" near as far as halogens.

/\ This. The main issue with our reflective housing is the LED isn't designed to work with our reflector and they don't have the reach. LED technology is quickly making its way into the new vehicles and when it is complete across the board for each manufacturer you'll see the Halogen and HID a thing of the past.

I dont have the best camera in the world, these are 6000k and I believe 3000 lumens. The fogs are cree led bulbs as well

Big upgrade from stock, hopefully I can get some better photos and I still have to adjust them so I dont blind people lol
