Sprint Booster??
I know one thing. My 5.0 has a little lag, but nowhere near as dangerous as my 2005/5.4 was.
If you where doing 35 and mashed the pedal, you could easily count to 3, before it would wake up that slow revving dog.
It was only dropping down from 3rd to 2nd too.
If you weren't familiar with that truck and tried to get on the highway in 3rd or worse 4th gear, you could end up in trouble.
Anyways factory reflashing and eventually a tuner helped a little bit.
The 2010 with the 6 speed was like a completely different engine.
It's too bad that's not a cure all. Might almost be worth the $300.
I would maybe give it a try I'd it were a $100, but three hundred dollars. Not a chance!

Someone wanted reviews? Here's some but they're from the site so they might be biased of course. http://www.sprintboostersales.com/sp...er-reviews.cfm

I have a sprintbooster on my BMW X5 and Audi R8, makes a ton of difference, the green setting is good for my wife, I keep it on red and the difference in lag is extremely noticeable. I will have one for the 2016 I ordered when it comes in.

Sprint Booster??
Completly cured all of the same issues as yours on mine. My SCT tune helped a bit, but the Sprint Booster made a massive improvement. I often have to merge into traffic going uphill near my home, and it was scary when accelerating. Thever knew if the truck was going to get moving when i needed it to. Now it is much safer.

If I hear a couple 5.0 success stories from guy's on here. I'd buy it.

I also have a 2009 5.4L with 6 speed and I have custom written tunes from Power Hungry Performance on my Edge (Gryphon) CTS programmer.... I feel like still have hardly any power up until about 2700-3500 RPMs and then she takes off like a rocket. I wonder if I would need to have my tunes re-written if I added a Sprint-Booster.....

So does it feel like it opens up the low end power that these trucks lack?

Running an SCT tune on mine with it. You will not have to rewrite a tune.
Most of the time I have mine on the green setting as the red has a pretty aggressive throttle response.

I wish Id bought one when I had the money but I have a superchips POS tuner ..They said definitely do not use a sprint booster with their tunes installed ... after reading a couple posts I wish I hadnt listed to them ... I want more ...... , its better than stock with a tune but I want more power ... dang it cant afford one now ..maybe someday
