Default Sprint Booster??

Has anyone seen these yet or know anything about them?

http://www.sprintboosterusa.com/c-336-at.aspx

I can't really wrap my fingers around how this thing can actually make a difference from reading the product description, and it seems no one has one to leave any reviews (or at least for 09 except one negative review). I just want to know if anyone has tried one, knows anything, or if it would even be worth dropping that kind of cash into something so minimal.......

Thanks!

Never heard of it. I don't think Id play Guinea pig on electronics that are not proven yet.

If I recall, these plug in at your throttle and basically eliminate the drive by wire lag to make it feel like you got something.

I would invest in a programmer and custom tunes.

^^ Already rocking Edge CTS with 3 custom Power Hungry Performance tunes, CAI, and Flowmaster 40 SIDO... I was just curious if this would make that much more of a difference.

Jeep guys with 3.8's swear bye them, they take the lag out of the DBW throttle. More or less the same as stepping on the peddle twice as hard.

They make more of a difference if the vehicle is stick, I don't notice the DBW anywhere near as much in my f150 as I did in my jeep (6 speed).

In the Mercedes Benz and Bimmer forums guys love em' because they remove the throttle by wire lag.

Any idea how this would translate to a 5.4L F150?

Right, I had one in my '04 530i and it did make a world of difference. As mentioned, it just removes the throttle lag that is usually associated with drive-by-wire systems, which the F-150 and most newer vehicles definitely have. I hadn't considered it for my truck. But the price of it is about 70-75% the cost of a new tune, so it seems like a tune would be the way to go.

That's the same BMW I traded in for my 2013 FX4 BTW...

I'm already running custom tunes... been for over a year now, would you recommend something like this on top of my performance mods already installed? Seems much more justifiable than a throttle body spacer - apparently just the same as tossing $100 in the trash from what I've heard/read.
