Default Spring compressor won’t catch the thread 5.4 3v

Hello I got the otc 6684 but after I compress the spring and remove the keepers and trying to reassemble them
while trying to compress the spring the tool won’t reach the thread I’m very confused because I saw a thread talking about the otc does not have that problem is it me don’t know how it work Because I saw some videos using other tools not the otc and use a clamp to make it reach out the thread but it won’t that’s really bad if I did that on otc 6684 beside there is some hard spots like cylinder number 5 and 8
I send out a photo describing my problem
thank you everyone and sorry for the long words this is my first time in

The only thing I have used this for is removing and installing roller rockers on my 5.4. I have never removed valve keepers and springs. The only problem I had was the tool was used when I purchased it and it was bent and would not fully depress the valve spring enough to remove the rockers. Once I figured that out I straightened the tool and had no problems at all. Your photo appears to have a cocked screw **** is the only problem I can see. You may have to move the wiring harness for better clearance.

I see what you’re referring to but I’m going to send another picture to clarify
its My tool thread is to far to start threading because the spring is not pressed down and hold by keepers it’s on full top and not giving my tool a room to compress I tried with my hand it’s hard beside it’s far and there isn’t a room you can do that if you want also you need a second person to start threading it
I’m really confused beucase 2 people one on a thread I read and one on YouTube say that otc 6684 does not have that problem
I don’t know what to do I’m stuck

and thank you for your response

Thank you for responding
but as you can see the video uses c-clamp
My tool shouldn’t do that as 2 persons refers to otc 6684 not doing that
Also if I use that clamp it wont fit on the small spot near cylinder 4 and 8
