Default speakers blown

so i got a 09 f150 lariat with the sony sound system. the right rear and right front is blown so i was wondering if i should just replace them with stock speakers or is there some better sounding speakers that i can add without doing anything to my electrical system, like a bigger amp or something...

thanks!

Almost any speakers are better than what comes in these trucks ... I pulled all mt speakers out and replaced them with kickers and it sounds tons better without an amp added just speakers being swapped ..... Hope that helps

stock speakers are Junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stereo was just up graded 2 days ago wow does it pound now.....
Changing your stock speakers will make huge diffenece but even better if you add an amp

here is what I added
stock deck
Alpine V70 5 channel amp
4- Infinity 6x8" 8602cfx speakers
MTX form fitting fiberglass box, 12" sub under rear seat
line output converter adjustable High power for speakers
Audio Control - high voltage Converter controls sub
dynamated the doors and back of the panels......

I prefer kickers... But many people have their own opinions... I went with kicker ds speakers in the doors and a 12" cvt shallow sub for under the seat and it sounds good... It's not top of the line but it works for me ...

man that sounds awesome. would it be too much to ask if you could post some pics? did you have to add wires to power the sub and new amp? im not willing to take out my stock nav out. im new to all this ive done it before on a 300ZX and i did a bad job. worse part was the wiring haha.

Thanks!!!

I don't have any pics yet.....I didn't install it, so thats why....but he used RCA's Jacks wire 17' long, plug and play, and the speakers & sub were connected to the Converter's. Yes had to buy a wire kit with 8ga/ 16ga/18ga and the 2 converters
I kept stock deck for now, the only thing Im going to add is the alpine control **** for the sub, so I don't have to keep going into the deck to change it for different songs......
I plan on taking a few pics of the amp and where It was Installed.....other then that you can't see anything else

there is lots of threads on here about installing.....there is a great one if I can find it in my profile I'll let you know!

Check out MTX site they have a Great selection of subs for our trucks and price's......they have matched there subs with the Box volume quite well I don't regret mine.......I was going to change the 12"MTX to aInfifnty and my installer said leave it alone as its designed perffectly space for that sub.......

Happy Hunting :o)
