I will be the first to agree that my 011 XLT Screw can use some audio up grade, it can not handle any bass or volumn. Now my question. It appears that there is factory option of having a sub' under the back seat, so I would guess there is a wiring harness already in place for that. Generally all vehicles use the same harness. If this is true is there a sub that I can buy & find access to the noted harness & it be almost if not a plug & play. Would like to improve the system but w/ our major surgery & on a budget that if I do it would not make me the grench that stole the families Christmas. Thoughts?

I did the same research and found that it cost too much to do and the performance as not worth the cost of a custom built speaker box, amp and a subwoofer. I purchased an amp for 199, a focal 10inch subwoofer and built my own box. Custom designed it to fit into my DuHa truck box. That particular focal needs a port on it of you go with that speaker. I filled the box with polyfill and it sounds awesome. So glad I did that rather than the factory box. You can't tap into the wires there either. You have to run wires from your rear speaker wires to the amp for inputs. I tapped in to the window power wire for my amp auxillary and I can shut the amp off when I lock the windows. Nice feature if I have passengers who don't want their rump vibrated. ......or maybe they do....

Default Amp.

Alright & thanks for that quick reply. An amp/ crossover & a speaker w/ a box. That would take care of the bass issues & the replys for the tweeters that go in the post sound as if it would round out the system to a level much better than stock. It is a bummer to find out that there is not already a wiring harness in place to accommodate the sub, I find it odd w/ the sub being a factory option @ that location,oh well the extended harness must be a part of the sub option it self. But another thanks for answering that question & saving me the time to pull it all apart just to find that out. Sounds like another project to add to list.

Why can't you tap into the sub harness? It's 2 sets of amped wires to the dual voice coils isn't it? Should be able to feed it to a amplifier or line driver
