I have been run into a few times in my life (I was beginning to think my vehicles had a target on them for a while). Anyway, to make a long story short, every insurance company (they person's who hit me) has managed to get an adjuster out within 48 business hours and I had a check within a week from the incident. Even obtaining rental cars (comparable to my truck) was extremely simple. They met me at the repair shop and drove me to their office and then drove me back to the repair shop once everything was over.

I can remember the multiple insurance companies I have dealt with, but it was alway quick and painless. Hopefully your expereince will be the same.

That does suck. I remember when I just made a deal to trade my 2010 in for my 2012. We had an 80 mile drive home at dusk in some heavy deer country. We had two close calls, thankfully my wife saved me when she spotted one cross the road and when I got there a big buck was standing almost invisable in the same spot.

I could just see wrecking my truck before I could pick up my new one but fortunately we made it.

I was mortified!!! I get home and call the dealer and they were like "Well, your new truck is here but, if your vehicle has been wrecked I don't know if we can still trade." So I immediately went down to the dealership. When they saw it was minor they are still willing to work my deal. However, I now have to wait on the insureance people to get around to writing me a check to give to the dealer for the repairs to my previous car. And I have NO idea how long that will take. So my new truck is just sitting at the dealership on hold until the insurance people (Who in my experience take their good sweet time getting around to doing anything) get around to writing me a check.

Lets just hope they don't sell it out from under you while you're waiting. That would be bull$&!t on their part but I have heard of it happening.

My previous truck was hit as no fault of mine, the other insurance company fixed my truck and I made a claim for Diminished Value. I proved that my truck was worth less even though fixed because of the accident that will show on CarFax. I was asking for $4000 and ended up settling for $2500, a free and clear check above and beyond everything. If that dealer is going to give you less than what you agreed upon due to the accident (and rightfully so), then take that to the insurance company and have them pay the difference so you are back to the deal you had. If you are persistence, they will pay you. I went to this website, paid $99 which to be honest wasn't quite worth it but they gave you want you needed and it worked, so guess I came out ahead by $2401. And it did help because when I was trading in that truck, they did see the CarFax report and got me down on the trade-in but I knew a year earlier that I already got my difference.

Hey fishingBen it looks like your dealing with Larry Hill on that truck. Im sure you already have a deposit since you placed an order, they should be willing to work with you,the damage looks minimal so I would go ahead and get an estimate from Abra right down from the dealer next to the Cleveland Honda. Then go ahead trade based on the estimate and let the insurance company reimburse you so you don't lose your $750 discount. I live down the road from you in Ooltewah and was there last week getting my tires rotated and oil changed. You can't beat Larry Hills service department and especially Mr.Clyde Sheets that departments manager. If you need anything ask for him,he will get you taken care of pronto. At least that has been my experience.By the way that is a very nice truck.

Larry Hill Ford in Cleveland. I started out at Lance Cunningham but they wouldn't work the trade amount I wanted. Larry Hill did. I have an XB21 2+2 Bassport Elite with All the goodies. Best Boat I have ever owned. Here's a picture the day I got it.
