Definitely! According to my measurements, the 17" rims + spacers SHOULD work (knock on wood). I'll keep you posted

I have read over the directions for the Skyjacker lift. In the directions I downloaded from their website it shows instructions for 4" or 6" of lift. For the 6" lift, the rear uses the leaf springs from the 4" lift and a 2" block. It's been about a year since I downloaded the directions, but I still have them. Has this changed? Because of it hasn't, you will still have blocks with the 6" lift.

You're correct. even though I'm going with the 4" lift so won't be using a block, the 2" block is minimal and wouldn't bother me. Since these skyjacker springs are stiffer, even with the 2" block it won't get any worse than it is now. Not to mention, since I already don't have a problem with axle wrap, I'm not worried. I just think it's crazy that some guys pay approx the same for a lift WITHOUT rear leaf springs that uses a 4" or 6" block when you can get one with leafs, that's all.

I agree. I'm planning on lifting mine, but I want a Rancho 4", so I can keep my 18's and the remote controlled adjustable shocks, since I already have the controller. I looked up the part numbers for just the Skyjacker leaf springs and plan on using them in the rear and the Rancho up front. I don't like the idea of running blocks. That's why I'm choosing to mix it up.

National will make you whatever you want. They make a lot of them for the raptor guys but they can make what ever size lift you want.

I almost went that route actually but then figured I could just run wheel spacers so just decided to go with the skyjacker.

I thought about that too, but I already have my wheels and don't want them stickking out any farther.

Well just so everyone knows, you CANNOT use the stock 17x7.5 XLT rims with the Skyjacker lift even with spacers. Unfortunately my spacer idea didn't work. It wasn't the vertical spacing that was the issue like I had originally thought but rather the horizontal clearance:

I went ahead and purchased 20" rims with some 35x12.5R20 tires. Should be ready to go by Saturday. More pics to come.

I had skyjacker leafs on my 2007 F150 (6" full suspension lift) and they gave me nothing but troubles and Skyjacker customer service was a joke. They wanted me to send the leafs in for inspection (even after I gave them video and tried all of their tips/tricks). I even offered to buy another set while they looked at them and they refused. I sold the truck with creaky/squeaky leafs.

When I lift again, it will be blocks, a properly set up blocks with anti-roll bars IMO is better than a leaf set up with respect to ride. But that is just my opinion

EDIT: Oh, and for the 07 install, you had to lower the gas tank to get the leafs in just an FYI (reg cab short bed)

In terms of mechanical forces, there's no difference between spacers and rims with a negative offset. Are you going to tell all the guys running a neg offset rim the same thing? Since i'm using stock rims that don't have a negative offset, I have to use spacers. 6 of one, half a dozen of another.
Wheel spacers allow for more shear stress on your lug nuts, it's not the same as using negative offset rims. Not saying it's going to fail, just stating the facts.
