Dies anyone have the service?! I have the full access with them and saw that they offer a variety of services. Anybody have used them? Price? Etc?

 

I use the weather on all of my LONG road trips if there is reported bad area in the area, find it very useful when the weather map is overlaid ion the GPS.

 

I use the travel link full feature. Weather, 5 day forecast, fuel prices, movies, ski slop status. I think thats it. I like it. Use the weather options all the time.

 

The only problem with the weather service is that after 30 days it repeats itself with the same weather, just like their playlists. Ba dump dump.

 

Personally I think SIRIUS services are pretty lame. The weather thing is ok but nothing you can't get on your phone. As you can do with most items SIRIUS offers. What I think is so useless as an icon is the movie, skiing and others. Why not have a Recreation Icon and have multiple listings as sub categories. Golfing,skiing,movies,parks, and so on. Why skiing as a main menu item. Why not an icon for motels or eateries. Movies, really as a travel icon. I myself don't readily think the very first thing I want to when driving is find a movie. I would think a service like SIRIUS would want to cater to a broader range of interests

 

So how much is the service?

 

Wife has it on her G37. The only thing that is cool are alerts that pop up on the screen. Other than that she dosent use it.

 

So im on the phone with them and they told me it was 11.96 for 6 months. So i will try it, if i dint like it then I'll cancel it

 

I thought the yearly cost was $60.00. I bought it last December on a sale for $30.00 for 1yr. For $12.00 for 6 months that's pretty good. What could you buy for $2.00 a month. Even though I think it's lame and could be so much better $12.00 is worth it. One thing I've found is nice is the availability to call a service rep for directions or help. I believe I get 40 calls with my 1 yr subscription.

 

What you described is the fords answer to one-star. Sirius has nothing to do with the service.
